Tomoe Cosplay Contact Lenses: Hair Overlap
White hair, white ears, purple eyes. It is a beautiful palette and a nightmare for eye visibility, because every pale thing near the face competes with the one dark note in the frame.
The fringe is the enemy
Pale hair falling forward reads as a soft frame, but it also covers the outer iris and kills the colour. Sweep the near side back just enough to clear the whole eye. A few centimetres is the difference between a full iris and a sliver.
Purple against white
The eyes are the only saturated colour on the head, which is a gift. Keep them a clean, cool purple, not a red-violet or a pink, so they read as distinctly purple against all the white.
The ears add height
Pointed ears on top of the head make the silhouette taller again. Give a little headroom and keep the face centred rather than tight to the top of the frame.
A guarded, slightly annoyed look
This character is not sweet. A level stare with the brows slightly down suits him and keeps the upper lid from covering the iris.
The review we hear most
“White hair kept falling over the eye. Once I pushed it back the purple finally showed up in every shot.”
